Prince Edward Island
Canada, 2015
P-E-I as a memory is made up of Red sand (I still have a small vial of it) and Blue skies, of bright sunlight and hard shadows...
I visited the island after my first year living and teaching in Sweden. Though I'd quickly made a tour of the island when I was doing my coast to coast trip after University, a weekend getaway from my door to door salesman job, I don't think it'd made the impression it would later.
The truth is, visiting someone and getting a tour from their perspective always brings a different kind light and atmosphere to a place.
I was visiting my girlfriend at the time and we'd been doing long distance for a year.
This was the first time we'd seen each other in months.
We had lobster and fought about travel plans, we drove around and visited odd sights at a time when the internet still hadn't governed where the best places were.
Pokemon Go came out that summer and some of the ramblings simply consisted of chasing pokemon.
