Like Pollen To The Wind
A poem about cats and pollen
Floating white fluffs catch in the wind
Pollen
The life source of allergy
Around the corner
A cat makes eye contact with another
A dead mouse hanging from its mouth
The threat of
Lost breakfast made worse by the tabby under the fence
And my squeaking bike chain
The suggestion a second predator
-
The next day I see two cats in a corner window
And that is enough
Like the pollen of yesterday, I float,
My day feels
Lighter already
Balance found
Even if
Only For
An instant
